888 Holdings plc has announced that second quarter operating income is up as customer numbers continue to rise.
888, one of the world's most popular online gaming entertainment companies, announced today, August 4, that its second-quarter operating income has risen by a massive 36 percent as growth in customer numbers helped boost revenues by a third.
Britain's second-biggest listed online gaming company said total operating income for the three months to June 30 was £35million, while net gaming revenues rose 33 percent.
888 had 214,725 active customers using its online casino and poker games in the second quarter, up three percent on the same period a year earlier.
It also announced its average daily revenue for the first three weeks of July was about two percent higher than in the second quarter.
"We are delighted with our Q2 2008 results,” 888 Chief Executive Gigi Levy said.
